Pawan Kalyan, whose birth name is Konidala Kalyan Babu, was born on September 2, 1968. He is a talented actor, an accomplished martial artist, a proficient film producer and also the founder of Jana Sena Party. Presently, from June 2024, he has been the 9th Deputy Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh; besides his political engagements he has contributed immensely towards development in the Telugu cinema industry.

Pawan Kalyan whose original name is Konidela Kalyan Babu was born on September 2, 1968, in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the younger sibling of the famous Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and the younger brother by marriage of Allu Aravind12.

Career Highlights:

Kalyan kick-started his acting career with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi a movie premiered in 1996. However, it was not until Gokulamlo Seeta (1997) and Suswagatham (1998) that his name got recognition.\n The superstar hit the limelight when he appeared in Telugu cinema’s biggest hit – Tholi Prema released in 1998 which won the Best Feature Film National Award from India.\n He has acted in movies like Thammudu (1999), Badri (2000), Kushi (2001), Gabbar Singh (2012), Attarintiki Daredi (2013) among others which have been commercially successful.\n Also, Kalyan doubles up as a movie maker.

Kalyan is also a producer with films under the banners of Anjana Productions and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works.

Political Journey:

Kalyan set foot in politics during the year 2008 when he became the national president of Praja Rajyam Party which was his brother Chiranjeevi’s political outfit meant for the youths. Jana Sena Party was established by him four years later in 2014 and has ever since played an active role in the state politics of Andhra Pradesh. The 9th Deputy Chief Minister, with important responsibilities in the state administration is his current position at this moment and time.
